Mortal Kombat Final DLC Character Is… Freddy Krueger?

Well, I certainly wasn’t expecting this. After much speculation among fans, the final addition to the Mortal Kombat roster has been announced as Freddy Krueger, the man who haunted your dreams as a child in A Nightmare On Elm Street. He’ll be coming to a PS3 and Xbox 360 near you on August 9th.

It seems they are going for the reboot Nightmare look rather than the old school Robert Englund. All of the DLC characters thus far have been $4.99, and this one will surely be no exception.
